Serving our community through education, culture, and social welfare
At Arya Samaj of Greater Austin, we believe in putting our principles into action through various community services. Our programs are designed to benefit people of all ages and backgrounds, promoting education, cultural understanding, and social welfare.
We provide Pundit services for all the 16 rituals of life according to the Vedas are known as the Shodasha Samskaras, which are rites of passage that mark key stages from conception to death. These rituals include pre-natal rites like Garbhadhana and Pumsavana, post-natal ceremonies such as Namakarana (naming) and Annaprashana (first solid food), childhood rites like Chaul (hair cutting) and Karnavedha (ear piercing), and later life rituals including Upanayana (sacred thread ceremony), Vivaha (marriage), and Antyeshti (funeral rites)
We offer comprehensive educational programs including Vedic studies, Sanskrit classes, cultural education, and spiritual development courses for children and adults.
Our community actively participates in charitable activities, food drives, and support for those in need, fostering a culture of compassion and generosity.
Our youth program focuses on character building, leadership development, and cultural education, preparing young people to become responsible community leaders.
Our library provides access to Vedic texts, spiritual literature, and cultural resources, supporting lifelong learning and research.
We promote understanding and cooperation among different faiths through interfaith dialogue, fostering mutual respect and harmony in our diverse community.
